ABOUT KENNETH NILSON

Since beginning furniture design in 2001, Kenneth's work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Interior Design, Time Out New York, Out and Paper.

Kenneth has done work for interior designers across the country. Most notably, Jamie Drake, Scott Sanders and Anjali Pollack.

Other clients include The Smithsonian Institution, Paul Smith, Bananna Republic, Kenneth Cole, Saks Fifth Avenue, Liz Claiborne, Lafco New York, and the Santa Maria Novella boutiques in New York City and Los Angeles.

Born in Minot, North Dakota, his education in design began at Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1992.

He worked in graphic design and print production in Minneapolis until the fall of 1994 when he moved to New York City. He worked as a graphic designer for two years in New York. But furniture was his true calling.

He lives in Brooklyn and makes all of his furniture by hand in his studio.
